Let’s Bring Your Idea to Life
My giant puppets — my mojigangas — are the heart of my work. They are where craft, culture, and imagination come together to create something bigger than all of us. In Mexico, mojigangas have walked through festivals and weddings for generations. They bring joy, surprise, and a celebration that feels alive. I honor that tradition, but I also push it forward in my own way.
Each mojiganga begins as a simple idea:
a character, a story, a personality I want to bring into the world.
From there, I build them piece by piece — lightweight frames, expressive faces, balanced proportions, and movements that feel natural. The process is long, sometimes stubborn, but incredibly rewarding. I shape every detail with my hands, making sure the puppet can dance, bow, greet, and connect with people.
But the real magic doesn’t happen in the studio.
It happens when a human steps inside.
That moment transforms everything. The performer becomes the heartbeat of the puppet. Their posture, their rhythm, their energy — all of it flows into the giant figure, giving it life. People smile, laugh, wave, and sometimes forget for a moment that there’s a person inside. They meet the character, not the structure.
My mojigangas are more than decorations;
they are living art.
Over the years I’ve created Catrinas, Catrines, wedding couples, founders of towns, characters inspired by Mexican culture, and even custom-made personalities for events and parades. Each one carries its own presence — a blend of humor, elegance, tradition, and the colorful spirit of Los Cabos.
Whether they walk in a parade, welcome guests at a wedding, dance on a boat, or stand proudly for photographs, they bring a sense of wonder that only a giant puppet can create.
These are not just pieces of art.
They are moments waiting to happen.
